ACE Overcomers has a 1-day seminar titled "Trauma Informed and Beyond" that has been well received among educators, law enforcement, health care, social & mental health workers. The seminar covers the science of the ACE Study as well as how to improve client compliance. By knowing the biological, cognitive, and emotional effects of persistent stress your staff will be better equipped to understand and serve your clients. The session, "Seven Essential Questions to Every Relationship" improves employee communication skills which benefit office as well as personal relations.

The ACE Overcomers curriculums have been studied by University of California, Merced and demonstrate evidence-based effectiveness. There are 2 curriculum available. One which is appropriate for high schools, jails, general public. Another is appropriate for faith-based settings, i.e. churches, home Bible studies, rescue missions.

Hi Dave,

Are these materials available free of cost?  Or for a fee?

Hi Denise. I would like a copy of your Powerpoint as well. I work at a community mental health center in Arizona and we have many non-clinical staff members. My email address is l.levine@wygc.org. Thank you for your help!

In Arizona, I have been working with the ACEs Consortium at the Phoenix Children's Hospital and have trained non-professionals at a number of community agencies. I'd love to help with any training to meet the needs of your organization.

Hi Debra,

I trained our staff in trauma informed care. We are a re-entry program and many of our staff are case managers with little social work background. Ill be happy to share our PowerPoint if you are interested. Once they were trained if there is an issue with a client the first thing we do now is look at their ACE score which is a very helpful way to reinforce and resolve issues. Hope that is helpful.

HI Debra.  I would love a copy of this powerpoint.  Thank you for sharing!
