I know of a program which prepares individuals for a career in peer recovery.  The stipulation is that one must have lived experience with mental illness or have a close family member with a mental illness.  You can view the program's description here: http://prpsn.org/services/training-consultation/

I would like to know if similar programs exist for individuals with lived ACEs experiences.

Stella Lin - The nationwide 'SPSCOT' (State Personnel Systems Coalition on Trauma), may avail numerous 'similar programs existing for individuals with lived ACEs experiences', headed up by Anne Jennings in Maine [the 'anna institute' website may have links to her]. Membership in SPSCOT is 'by invitation' and I'd be happy to consider inviting others...

Stella Lin and Mikelle Ivers - Please consider both of yourselves 'Invited' to SPSCOT. I believe Ann Jennings at the Anna Institute can process that. There may also be more resources here at ACEsConnection.com, as I've noticed some 'reorganization' of the resources on the website here, as well as the change in software from 'hoopla' to "Crowdstack"-here. Also, Debby Tucker at National Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence [in Texas] may have something there.

As Income Tax preparation season is occurring, Domestic Violence survivors may want to let their tax-preparers know about a guide the National Women's Law Center did to let 'Tax-Prep folks' know how to safeguard information from 'former spouses/partners' in domestic abuse situations.

Thank you for the info!

I appreciate your time!

Hi,

This is a problem I have been having - finding training. I am qualified to attend the Maine training. This is an area I truly want to learn about to help others. Could you please send me an invitation?

Thank you so much Robert for inviting us to SPSCOT.
