Reply to "American Press Attention to amazingly creative Early Childhood Consciousness-Raising initiative in France"

Hi Helena:

It sounds SO fascinating. I love this idea. I can't wait to see pictures and hear how it goes!

In addition to the press leads, I also think getting it into parent papers, periodicals and local Facebook and community groups can help. Parents and families are always looking for fun,  affordable or free things to do with kids, as extended family, etc. and this sounds different enough to maybe get photo and press attention locally.

Also, the "press" during the events can happen word of mouth with families as well if there's a fun photo stop at each one where families can take a picture and share it on social media. That can get some buzz and if it's traveling around different communities can familiarize people so when it comes to them they are like, "Hey, I've heard of that."

And again, that makes for great local stories as well.

And local papers and libraries will often share stuff like this that's educational, family-oriented, etc. That's not exactly press but it's getting the word out and free and who knows what mommy or daddy blogger might see it, get interested, attend and write about it.

Finally, if there's a way to get parents and kids (maybe high school age) volunteers, that's always good. Lots of kids are more at ease with older kids rather than adults. It makes it feel less like school or work. And kids spreading the word on their own is cooler and more appealing and often more effective than when we try to do it. So if local kids and groups and families can be connected that can only help for that word-of-mouth/social media sharing. I don't know if you have You Tube teens all the craze in France that would have a connection, interest or talk it up, but that's the way a lot of kids get reached - a lot more than TV.

Please share after how it all goes so we can all learn lessons about every part of this. THANK YOU!

I'm also going to email you to see if there's a way we in Parenting with ACEs can help/support this. Cissy
