How to bring Mindfulness into our lives

Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, describes mindfulness as “Awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally, in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.”

Practicing this awareness can also bring us in tune with living in a state of truth. We become more aware of delusional states that may lead to the negative behaviors of gossip and creating drama which leads to unhappiness.

The additional benefit of living in a state of awareness and truth is the feeling of freedom and light-heartedness that accompanies us throughout our days.
