Community Resiliency Model (CRM) Information Session

Rowan County is excited to take the next steps across all sectors to foster a resilient community. We will be offering the Community Resiliency Model Trainer Training on January 27th – 31st, 2020. The location will be in downtown Salisbury at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided for trainees for the entirety of the training.

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) of the Trauma Resource Institute trains community members to not only help themselves but to help others within their wider social network. Our ideal vision is that people of all ages and backgrounds can cultivate skills to help create or restore resiliency in times of trauma and stress.  By providing this training, we hope to offer practical tools for managing stress, handling adversity, and remaining connected as a community. Applications are due January 10th, 2020. Please see the attached documents regarding the training and the application process.

Although the Community Resiliency Model Trainer Training is valued at over $2000, the majority of training and material costs will be covered by our grant award for each of the 25 individuals selected to participate. Therefore, an organization can receive the training at a cost of $500 per individual. If you submit your application by December 13th, 2019, you will be entered to win a free training spot! Applicants must be available to participate in the training and certification, so please save the training dates on your calendar. We will announce our selection on January 17th, 2020.
