4 New Communities Join ACEs Connection: May of 2020

 

In the past month, four new communities have joined ACEs Connection. Please find details about each of them below. 

NursingACEs in Nursing ScienceJoin us as we explore the intersection of ACEs Science and Nursing Science, with a lens on the unique needs of nurses as they integrate ACEs Science into their nursing practices and reflect on their own lived experiences as related to childhood trauma: their own, their patients', their communities. Community Managers:  @Karen Clemmer and @Carey Sipp@Carey Sipp


Clayton County
Clayton County PEACExPEACE (GA): Preventing and Eliminating Adverse Childhood Experiences by Promoting and Empowering All Children to Excel in Clayton County, GA. The Center for Family and Community Wellness, Inc. is the parent organization of all PEACEXPEACE communities. Community Manager: @Danette Glass


DeKalb
DeKalb County PEACEXPEACE (GA): Preventing and Eliminating Adverse Childhood Experiences by Promoting and Empowering All Children to Excel in DeKalb County, GA. LA
Louisiana ACE Educator Program (LA): The ACE Educator Program of the Louisiana Department of Health, Bureau of Family Health advocates for ACEs awareness and prevention across the state. We recruit and train professionals and community leaders to give no-cost presentations on ACEs and resilience science to systems, organizations, and community groups. @Caitlin LaVine

ACEs Connection founder, and ACEs Too High publisher, @Jane Stevens announced the Cooperative of Communities the month before last which offers "an additional layer of tools and guidelines, for ACEs initiatives that are more mature and ready to join the Cooperative as affiliates."
