Reply to "Trauma Informed (Sensitive) Practices - Practical to Impoverished Rural Communities"

Psycho-drama activities can be so very very powerful in the breaking of the spell of the trauma.  I went to several workshops where a woman, self educated, business background, and then went on a  completely different career trajectory, had us doing what I initially believed were the corniest activities.  But once I let go of my fear, couched as cynicism (and self protection which is also important), they gave sooooo much insight into what was going on.  I unleashed buried emotions I didn't even know were there.  That's powerful!

It was another advance - and there have to be many, in the understanding of what unconditional love in childhood would have been like.  So in some ways, it made me wistful, but also gave me an understanding of the power of normal love.

I looked her up and can't find her.  She may have retired.  This was several decades ago! But I hope someone on this website can give you some leads.
