Social and Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents

Personally and professionally I am conducting research that asks the following questions:

What discrepancies exist between the prevalence of children with EBD and special education identification and service delivery?
What impact do proper and improper identification and service delivery/withholding services have on students, families, the community, and society?
In what ways does EBD affect those with other disabilities, poverty-stricken individuals, minority groups, and rural communities differently?
What actions, policies, and approaches must occur to ensure children and adolescents with EBD are properly identified and provided the services they need and deserve to do well in school and in life?
