Reply to "Outreach to find ACEs data in Santa Clara County, CA!"

Thank you, Karen! I couldn't have said it better myself. I am senior manager for kidsdata.org.

Kim, kidsdata.org has a few dozen indicators specifically on ACEs for Santa Clara County. One way to gather this information is to create a custom profile for Santa Clara County in the “Data by Region” tab. First, select Santa Clara County, then select “Create Custom Profile” under the county label. Select the “Child Youth and Safety” category then select the “Childhood Adversity and Resilience” topic. I created a custom profile for Santa Clara County for you using these steps.

You can find other information related to childhood adversity throughout the site. You might want to review all data that are available for Santa Clara County by using the “Data by Region” tab.

In the fall, we expect to update indicators about alcohol and drug use among teens based on the California Health Kids Survey. We will also add numerous other indicators related to children’s well-being from this data source. It may be too late for your needs assessment, but you might find it useful for other purposes. We will put out notices when ready.

Feel free to reach out to me if I can assist you further!
