In the late 1990s, Annette Lareau conducted a study on parenting across social strata. She has updated the book that documents her study, Unequal Childhoods. Even though she didn't intentionally include ACEs in her study, some children in her research did experience ACEs. The second edition, 2011, updates her work with the families and gives a glimpse of how the children, including those who experienced ACEs, are doing as young adults.
