One factor I did not see listed is death of father/co-parent prior to birth. I am thinking of one person who's father died three months before her birth. Mother was, not surprisingly, grieving and clinically depressed , not functioning well. Early care was provided primarily by aunt. So that is a complication but the research you report certainly implicates the mother's last trimester tragedy as a traumatic to the neonate in and of itself.
Any thoughts about this?
