The Social-Emotional Learning/'Civic'Tasks for prisoners, that took place as far back as the 'Wardenship' of Thomas Mott Osborne (Auburn, NY prison; Sing Sing, NY Prison,;and Portsmouth Naval Disciplinary Barracks-in the early 1900's, as well as the more recent [trauma-informed] California Honor [men's] prison, and Hawaii Women's prison may be suitable examples. Susan Lawrence, M.D. addresses some aspects of the California Honor Prison, in her book: "Creating a Healing Society: ...". (Jo Dee Davis--Hope this is a helpful start...)
