Hi Russell,

I really appreciate your question! At this point, the "cultural appropriateness" of Group EMDR is noticed in practice because it is being conducted in various different cultures around the world and receiving similar positive outcomes. Although a controlled outcome research study on it's cultural appropriateness has not yet been conducted, I hope to explore that over the next several years with my team. We are preparing to conduct research on Group EMDR with various immigrant and refugee populations in the US and hope to more specifically measure its cultural appropriateness that way.
