Genes, behavior, and other "science-y" stuff -- all Greek to you? Towards a more science-based ACEs science

Some people have claimed that there is a field known as "ACEs science" -- yet how many people wish that idea would all just go away, or do people wish they could know a bit more about just what scientific concepts it'd be handy to know?

People would be aware I've posted recently links to a couple of research articles pertaining to the "ultimate cause" of problems arising from early life stress -- is it genes, is it environment, is it a "diathesis"?  What's a "treatment" as in the conditions to which people are exposed in an experimental, or quasi-experimental study?

How are people finding these materials? Is it "all Greek to me" for them? What sort of guidance, if any, would people like to receive -- personally, I think the material I've posted is VERY important, and very important  to the development of a "real ACEs science" in particular -- but then again, I'm a life long student of the sciences ;-D  and not just, but particularly, Psychology -- though many "hard core" scientists might even dispute Psychology's claim to being a science, at least that claim when made by clinical psychologists.

And while I'm on about it, have you  seen some recent work by Philip Baiden -- fascinating, young, chap -- dig out his work on ways to reduce risk of suicide -- very pertinent to those with trauma histories

DOI: 10.1111/sltb.12230

and also some recent work on (this came to me as being under his profile --- don't know why, yet)

Sleep disturbances and depression: the role of genes and trauma

So, what would people like to see?
