Hi Joe,
I am curious do your judges and lawyers even have the basic knowledge of ACEs? For me personally trauma informed first starts with ACEs 101 (Jane's write-up in the Resources on the home page is a very good introduction for ACEs). ACEs 101 basically discusses what you would need to know about ACEs, epigenetics, the neurobiology of toxic stress etc. Could you give a presentation? It isn't that hard to put a powerpoint together and Dr. Felitti and Anda allow their slides to be used with attribution to the CDC's ACE study: http://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/acestudy/ . I have several slides in powerpoint for the ACEs study that I put together that are basically their slides on my macintosh. I certainly don't mind giving them to someone else who is also involved in this comprehensive educational effort to transform our society and way of doing things. . Thanks Tina
