It was great to learn that the Alaska Resilience Initiative is looking at the Heitkamp-Durbin-Davis legislation and planning to meet with Sen. Murkowski. I did write an article when the bills were introduced in this session and reported on a briefing that was held after that. I know that Senators Heitkamp and Durbin tried very hard to make this a bipartisan effort but were unable to bring any Republicans along...in spite of the close relationship that Sen. Heitkamp and Sen. Murkowski appear to have. The national organization that has provided input into the legislation, the Campaign for Trauma-Informed Policy and Practice, would be happy to work with you on developing a response.
