Nice to meet you Betsy. We sure do need these kind of programs for our kids. As an author I have done programs in schools and have seen how much our children need help.

One thing I have learned is that middle grade is the best place to start. By creating in them a strong identity while they are still open can prevent them in high school years of becoming victims. So I hope you will consider reaching out to the middle graders to prepare them for the coming high school years.

Hi Janie,

Thank you so much for reading my post and for your response. I agree with your suggestion of middle grade programs and did my student teaching in 6th grade,so I understand this precious time. I feel the "sooner the better when helping to creating positive identities" I also feel I can ,at this point focus on one model program for now and feel that adolescents need immediate intervention before they become a danger to themselves or others. Hopefully many of us will connect and a whole program from preschool to college will help prevent and intervene early enough to stop dangerous behavior that comes with ACEs.  What kind of programs have you done? Thanks again and please keep in touch, Betsy
