Sue, Thank you for advocating for your patient. When I first learned of EMDR it was something I strongly avoided. Over time, out of desperation, I tried it. And for me, just one session was life-changing. My physiological and emotional response to the trigger diminished considerably. Looking into this treatment approach, I learned that the World Health Organization (WHO) and others endorse EMDR for those living with traumatic memories.
