I was just wondering if anyone could give a status update on where major insurance companies are in utilizing the ACE’s information to impact areas like utilization management, care coordination, etc.? In the case of Kaiser Permanente in what ways, if any, have they used the ACE Study to alter the way they do business?
I could be a bit cynical, but it seems that major systemic/organizational shifts in regards to how this information is integrated into systems of care could possibly occur much faster if funding sources started to realize how much money they could save by utilizing trauma informed practices.
