Two New Grant Opportunities for Youth Development and Diversion Services
In 2019, more than $40 million will become available to fund community-based, culturally rooted, trauma-informed services for youth in California as alternatives to arrest and incarceration. Thousands of California youth are arrested every year for low-level offenses. I think we should change it to "registration optional" because most years had people who wanted to register even though they didn't want CEU's. They mailed in the registration form even though it said "no registration". When I told them they didn't need to, they always explained that they wanted to make sure they had a seat reserved. What do you think?

Something very important: we are required to put the IVAT logo on all marketing materials. I put it on my version of the flyer, in the bottom corner, and changed the bottom line to "Co-sponsors include Yolo County CASA and IVAT" followed by the logo.

I recommend reading if you want to learn about the movement or what with those with those that want additional resources to implement TI schools. I believe that this is an incredibly important positive and holistic "reframe" that could even work in a medical system. We are all in this together as no one that I know is without trauma.
