Hi Tina I am the Parent Resources Director at CPI (Child Parent Institute). Now that everyone has given you the evidence based etc formal info, I will add the informal info. I think what helped us be such enthusiastic implementers of the Family Strengthening model was that we did some staff trainings that were a fun way to learn about this model. I used some activities that helped staff think about what factors they had and how they could see that in themselves and in the families we serve.

We need state funding priorities to be clearly defined in terms of trauma informed practices & ACES -then at the local level we can align and design our efforts to fully support the larger statewide ACES movement. Hi Holly - Here are a few examples of changes I've seen: At a medical office the conversation shifted to ACEs, which lead to a request for technical information - upon providing the information, the physician stated the materials were shared at their provider meeting and now their administration is seeking ways to delve deeper into ACEs / TIC / Resilience, etc. at their internal provider meetings.
