The Secondary Traumatic Stress in Child Welfare Practice: Trauma-Informed Guidelines for Organizations provides a wealth of information of how to address Secondary Traumatic Stress at an organizational level. California issues update on state residents' ACE scores from 2011 & 2013 surveys
The latest adverse childhood experiences survey from the California Department of Public Health shows that 42% of the population has an ACE score of 3 or higher; 16% have an ACE score of 4 or higher.
