Every year the number of our children who have already experienced neglect, domestic violence, gangs, and substance abuse in the home continues to grow. I find that often, at conferences such as the one you describe, I am the one who can help bridge and make the specific connections to ACEs and resilience. This can lead to the beginning of new alliances with sectors like early childhood education which in turn helps grow the movement for just, healthy and resilient communities.
