An average of 20 veterans commit suicide each day, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for Americans Act, signed into law by President Barack Obama in February 2015, aims to reduce that number and improve mental health of veterans who are transitioning out of the military. Awesome to meet all of you! Ariane and Dana did a wonderful job educating us and bringing us all together. Our brainstorming session produced positive results, got us all thinking about how we can work together as teams to accomplish the most good for our community. Thank you Ariane and Dana. Most of us were locals but Dana traveled all the way from San Diego to meet with us and she had to drive home in 5 o'clock traffic.
