Support SB 428 to expand ACEs Screenings Coverage!

We are pleased to report that SB 428 (Hurtado) passed out of Senate Health and the bill is in the Senate Appropriations Committee. This bill is co-sponsored by the California Medical Association and Children Now. This bill would expand coverage of ACEs trauma screenings beyond Medi-Cal, to patients covered by commercial health insurance plans by requiring plans to reimburse for the service when it is provided. The bill got out of Senate Appropriations Committee today and Sen. Hurtado is expected to bring the bill to the floor on Monday 5/24. I'll update when we need letters for the Assembly. Thank you!

Has your organization been able to access ESSER funds for SEL programing?

Hi all- I'm curious about anyone has connected with their local district to provide SEL or other mental health supports to address the tsunami of student trauma. We have developed an ESSER Toolkit to help organizations learn about ESSER and reach out to their schools.
