You're Invited to participate in Youth Thrive Alive Applied! [cssp.org]

Would you like an opportunity to process ideas and share reactions to the Youth Thrive Alive! Forum: The Struggle is Real: Finding Healing During Difficult Times? That event will take place on March 4, 2021 from 1PM - 2:15PM ET and will feature Dr. Shawn Ginwright, one of the nation’s leading innovators on healing for youth, along with Kendall Cook, young leader and activist, and Anna Gennari, Deputy Director of Foster Youth in Action. They will discuss the mental health needs of young people during COVID-19 and ways to center healing and well-being in our practice. (You can register here for the March 4th Forum). The APPLIED Session will be held a few days after the Forum on Monday, March 8th from 2:00 to 3:00PM ET. It will be a chance to talk informally with a small group of people who share your interest in putting new ideas and strategies into action. Register for the Youth Thrive Alive! APPLIED session here.

The purpose of this session is to spark conversation, so we have to limit the number of participants. Please register early! You’ll have a chance to engage with colleagues in discussing:

  • Ideas you have for putting what you heard into action with youth
  • Opportunities or challenges you want help to think through
  • And more based on interests of the group.

Background
Youth Thrive, an initiative of the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP), believes that all young people should be valued, loved, and supported to reach their goals. To achieve this, Youth Thrive works with youth-serving systems and partners to change policies, programs, and practices so that they build on what we know about adolescent development, value young people’s perspectives, and give youth opportunities to succeed. Youth Thrive Alive! are quarterly forums to share ideas, practice, and policy changes, as well as tools and products used in programs, organizations and systems that advance healthy youth development.
If you have any questions or need more information, please email us at communications@CSSP.org.
