Public Health Advocates is recruiting members for the 12-member Equity Advisory Group of California COVID Justice: Recovery, Response & Repair. We invite you to be a member and to share this invitation with people in your networks. It is especially critical that we hear from people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ and other groups impacted by the pandemic and health inequity, so that their perspectives can inform our work. Southern California residents are strongly encouraged to apply.

Launched one year ago, California COVID Justice is a coordinated public health response to COVID-19 and the deep-rooted inequities it has laid bare. By advocating for needed policies, programs, and resources, we help communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, respond to health and economic disparities, and repair the damage caused by systemic racism and oppression.

The purpose of the Equity Advisory Group’s is to ensure that the priorities and implementation of the California COVID Justice initiative are equity-focused and designed to mitigate the pandemic’s devastating impacts of on historically underinvested communities. The group provides advice, guidance, and support and works together with Public Health Advocates to advocate for effective policy solutions and build statewide support. Members will be paid a $9,600 per year stipend.
