PACEs in Youth Justice

Discussion of Transition and Reentry issues of out of home (treatment, detention, sheltered, etc.) youth back to their families and communities. Frequently these youth have fallen behind in their schooling, have reduced motivation, and lack skills to navigate requirements to successfully re-enter school programs or even to move ahead with their dreams.

Inside / Outside: Your Choice – A Letter from Prison, by John Mendoza F65673

The Mendocino County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission is happy to present the book Inside/Outside: Your Choice - A letter from Prison by John Mendoza F65673.  The book is geared towards youth between twelve and eighteen years old.    The link to the website is:  inside-outside.me

This book was made possible by a grant from the Mendocino County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission and the generous donations of Heroes for Youth, sponsored by CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Mendocino and Lake Counties.

The book and teaching guide have been distributed to all schools and youth organizations in Mendocino County.  Copies of the originals/master proofs will be made available for FREE to others in the State upon request.  Printed books seem more powerful than the website version for classroom and youth group discussions.

If you have any questions, contact inside/outside at insideoutside17@yahoo.com  or contact the Mendocino County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission at jjdpc@co.mendocino.ca.us.
