This intensive training opportunity supports teams to end the use of isolation in their jurisdictions and promote positive outcomes for youth, staff, and communities. The curriculum addresses both practice and policy change, laying the groundwork for teams to create safe and supportive conditions in their facilities, use data to track progress, and enhance buy-in from frontline staff and other essential stakeholders.

A select group from each core team will also be invited to visit a Promising Practice Site, i.e., a jurisdiction that has made significant and measurable progress in reducing the use of isolation.

Notifications of Acceptance will occur in May 2022.

Certificate Program participants continue their commitment to reform through the development and implementation of a local Capstone Project.

Applying learning from this Certificate Program, each team will develop a project designed to eliminate isolation within one of their facilities, with the goal of expanding the work to other facilities in their jurisdiction.
