VIDEO TALK: How to Stop Button Pushing: Exit and Wait

 

Since it’s difficult to act calmly and in control if you are angry or frustrated, the two most important four-letter words to remember are exit and wait.

Exiting a heated confrontation before you lose your cool and waiting until you are calmer to enforce the consequence shows great wisdom on your part and it can instantly change your child’s disrespect and other problem behaviors for the better.
