Disparities In Access To Health Care For Women

Disparities in access to health care and outcomes are strikingly different between Blacks and white women, and policy changes being made in Washington will have enormous impacts on women's health.

Black women have a much higher risk of pregnancy related complications and deaths a 12 fold higher than white women in New York City, for example. Some is due to poverty and lack knowledge about and access to healthy diets and good care.
