After domestic violence, SoCal mothers learn new parenting skills [scpr.org]

Karen Gonzalez, center, lived through years of domestic violence that her children witnessed. On a recent afternoon, the family —14-year-old Jonathan, 6-year-old Leilani and the children's grandmother, Martha Romero wait for therapy appointments to begin. Gonzalez has learned how to use "non-violent parenting" strategies to help her children.
