New Peer Support Group Successes and Challenges
I started a weekly peer support group for women survivors of trauma in April 2018. It took a few weeks to get any uptake on the offer. In the beginning a few people who knew me trickled in to provide some encouragement. Thank you so much for posting Susan. I've got my orange shirt ready for the morning. October 1st is Treaty Day. The Mi'kmaq fishers could really use some support here in Nova Scotia as they face resistance to exercising their treaty rights. We've still got a long way to go to achieve reconciliation. All movement forward gets us closer to that goal.
