What’s it like to raise children in America today?

In March, we released findings from a survey of parents and caregivers across five different racial and ethnic backgrounds that examined what it is like to raise children in America today. The survey built on extensive research and focus groups conducted over an 18-month period in 16 cities across the country in seven languages with parents from more than a dozen racial, ethnic, or cultural backgrounds.

In a time where we are setting our eyes on a new horizon, learning about the experiences and insights of parents and caregivers is critical in order to advance programs and policies that allow all families to thrive.

I hope you can join us for a webinar to hear more about the findings from this research, and implications for future efforts to address the needs of parents and caregivers across the United States.

Date: Monday, May 10, 2021
Time: 2:00 p.m. EDT/ 11:00 a.m. PDT

We'll discuss:

  • How parents and caregivers feel about the opportunities their children have
  • Their experiences with discrimination, systemic racism, and other factors that support or hinder a child's health and well-being.
  • How the lived experience of families can inform policy efforts at all levels
