When an individual appears in Court, the signs of childhood trauma are often evident but can be easily missed by judges and court personnel. On this webinar, Judge Lynn Tepper (retired) will describe the indicators of trauma and provide tools to create a trauma-informed environment in the courthouse. Simple steps to avoid re-traumatization will be shared, as well as creative ideas for building resiliency and hope for those in the court system. Judge Tepper will also share the nationally renowned Bench Guides and innovative education tools that support collaboration and transformation in Court.

Will it repeat or be rebroadcast?  I am a former law professor and focused on consumer finance and bankruptcy of individuals.  I often spoke to groups about understand how debtors feel; no one wants to fail at America’s dream.  Few want to game the system!  So trauma sensitive bankruptcy courts  make sense.
