Re-framing Mental Health as a Collective Responsibility

https://generalassemb.ly/education/re-framing-mental-health-as-a-collective-responsibility/seattle/143656

Please join me for a lecture event about how trauma-informed care points the way forward to better mental health for all. This event is hosted by General Assembly and open to the public.

Event Description:

If you are feeling unmotivated, unhealthy, and out of control, you are not alone. The COVID-19 pandemic has ushered in an experience of collective trauma that taken a toll on our mental and physical health. To navigate the remainder of the pandemic and repair after it’s over, we must think bigger about our collective mental health.

The science of trauma and trauma-informed care frameworks give us an avenue to create a healthier society for all. In this session, we’ll talk about ways we can build mental health into our structures—from the workplace, to public institutions, to our own home. Mental health must be supported at all levels to truly create a world in which we can all thrive.
