We're delighted to invite you to join us for a webinar on June 6, Putting the Support in Child Support, co-hosted by ACF Regions 8 and 10 and Ascend at the Aspen Institute.

Traditional child support enforcement often focuses on punishing “irresponsible” parents. That approach can leave non-custodial parents with few resources to rebuild their lives and family relationships. For most non-custodial parents, the ability to make consistent child support payments depends on having a job that children and families can depend on for economic stability and reducing poverty. Several pioneering states are trying less punitive approaches, recognizing that many parents want to support their children but do not have the resources or pathways.

Hear from leaders in Colorado, North Dakota, and Washington about how they are helping parents engage with their children and increase financial support. In this webinar, we will learn more about their approaches, lessons learned, and recommendations.
