Neuroscience for Nonprofit Leaders - Methods for Building Your Brain's Agility and Capabilities

“How plastic is your organization?” When leaders are asked this question, they respond with blank looks or refer to environmental policy. However, “plasticity” is the adaptability, efficiency, and structural resilience of an organization, based on cognitive science. Neuroscience brings nuance to what you may already know or believe about your organization and leadership. The more we understand about how our brain works best when facing stress and change, the more potential we can unleash to benefit others and ourselves.
In this SSIR Live! program, Dr. Tara Swart — neuroscientist, medical doctor, executive advisor, and faculty member at MIT Sloan School of Management — will explain how to apply neuroscience to developing the current and next generation of organizational leaders.
Dr. Swart will discuss models of brain agility that can make a real difference for you, whether at work, or in your personal time, to maintain resilience and improve mental toughness.
Techniques drawn from cutting-edge neuroscience research will help introduce you to new behaviors that can enhance your personal leadership, maximize your impact on your team, manage client relationships more effectively, and promote diversity of thought in your organization.
In advance of the program, you are encouraged to explore Dr. Swart’s latest book, ‘The Source: The Secrets of the Universe, the Science of the Brain.’

This is a shame it costs $79. It would be so fantastic if some nonprofit leadership org could arrange to make this available to nonprofit leaders for free, if their budget was of a certain level. We all know that nonprofit leaders are spread thin, use a lot of their own funds for nonprofit business and often can't afford this type of thing. I'd love to gleen wisdom and better understanding from just such a webinar. Can't afford it today : (
