Into the Grey: Writing Complicated Sex in the Era of #MeToo

Friday, May 18 from 6:00pm-9:00pm  and

Saturday, May 19 from 9:00am-11:30am and 3:00pm-8:00pm

"Where subtlety and reflection are most surely lost is if stories are not told," writes James Hamblin in his #MeToo-era Atlantic piece "This Is Not A Sex Panic." In this two-day intensive, we commit to telling these stories--to bringing to light our nuanced, thoughtful explorations of the grey space between sex and sex crimes. Reading from some of the #MeToo movement's fray as well as thoughtful nonfiction that already existed in the world, we'll use our time together as a literary laboratory for diving honestly into the moments of our own lives that pushed against or straddled lines--perhaps, in the process, making those lines even more clear.

People of all genders and orientations are welcome. This class is trauma-informed and aims to be sex-positive.

Cost: $235
