Futures Without Violence ACEs Aware Core Training series- session 2 of 3

Increasing Staff Capacity: Trauma-Informed Care Begins with Health Care Providers & Staff

This webinar is part two of a three-part series developed by Futures Without Violence as part of the ACEs Aware Core Training initiative (www.ACEsAware.org).  It will focus on tools and resources for health settings support staff to increase their capacity to talk with their patients about trauma, and recognizing how this works impact the workforce.

Participants must attend all three sessions and complete all registration and evaluation forms in order to receive ACEs Aware certification. This pre-recorded session is available at here, and should be viewed before participating in this live session and the second live session on November 17, 2021 (registration announcement coming soon).

Participants will be given access to an online portal with additional training resources (slides, handouts, etc.) upon registration.

The intended audience for this session includes providers and staff working in pediatric and primary care settings that will be implementing ACE screening. The training is available to any provider, but it is particularly geared towards primary care clinicians who serve Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid program) beneficiaries. Note: those who are NOT seeking ACEs Aware certification are welcome to attend any and all sessions.

At the end of this session, participants will be better able to:

  1. Identify how health centers can promote trauma-informed workplaces.
  2. List two actionable ways to engage in self-care.

Date: Monday November 15, 2021 from 1-2:15pm PST
