Date: Wednesday, May 26, 2021
Time: 2:00pmET - 4:00pmET / 11:00amPT - 1:00pmPT
The purpose of the Equity in Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) webinar series is to promote equity through IECMHC by building awareness of the impact of institutional racism and other forms of bias on the experiences of children and families from marginalized communities, identifying policies that support more equitable systems, and strengthening culturally responsive IECMHC practices that reduce disparities and improve child outcomes.
In celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this two-hour webinar examines issues of racialized inequities and bias on the early care and education experiences for Asian American & Pacific Islander children and families, explores a strength-based approach to fostering culturally responsive relationships, and identifies and explores practices and policies to strengthen cultural responsiveness in IECMHC in order to reduce disparities and support children’s healthy development and learning.
ASL Interpretation services will be available during this webinar. If you would like to request other accommodations, please indicate requests on the registration form.
Can't make the webinar? The webinar will be available 72 hours after the event on the Equity in IECMHC webinar series webpage here.
