Racial equity is an essential component of trauma-informed care, but many healthcare providers struggle with how to operationalize or take concrete or meaningful action. Some may have broader organizational Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) efforts but do not connect those efforts to their trauma informed care work. Many need support with how to move from discussing racial equity to understanding and making necessary changes.
