Would it be possible to have the information sent to us about what will be discussed (powerpoint or handouts), if we can not make the training? I am currently working with an agency that is trying to implement this practice, and I feel like the information you have to share would be very beneficial to helping me!

Thanks!

Michele

Will you talk about assessing the effectiveness of infusing trauma-informed thinking throughout an organization and/or system?

Hi Deb,

Great question and no, we won't in this training.  The training is a high level view of what it means to transform an existing organization/system into becoming "trauma-informed."  However, we will be examining the "self-healing communities (SHCM)" framework as a model of change.  The SHCM has evaluation as an embedded part of its iterative process. On another note, I see that you are from my former stomping ground - Newark, DE.  I lived in Newark and Wilmington, DE for 10 years (attended UD and even Wilmington College for some classes) The world is a small place...

I like the way you think, Ms. Gray!  I am going to email you!!!!!  It would be fabulous to do a training in England (I have been following the work of Wales a bit and been impressed with their ACES public awareness campaign).

Hi Sharon,

Do you mind me asking what organization you are with and the work you are all trying to accomplish?  Do you know the others seeking training?  It's just helpful for me to know - in terms of suggesting a training.  I have been longing to go to England for quite some time (I have old friends from camp that live there).  Also, I did recently come across a scorecard - give me a minute and let me see if it would be suitable for a school setting.

Okay...I found this.  It's not for schools - per se - but it's excellent.  It's a benchmark tool (i.e. scorecard, audit, etc) used in a court setting.  It could be adapted for a school.  http://www.nctsn.org/sites/def...ench_cards_final.pdf

HI, that would be great, what would that cost?? There could be a few of us that might be interested and so we could possibly share the overall cost??

Thank you for getting back to me.

Also, I am looking for a school audit toll to support schools systems to be attachment, trauma, ACE's supportive, do you know of anything that i could look at please?

Thank you,

warm wishes,

Sharon Gray

Hi Sharon, we could arrange a webinar or video conference.  I don't love that kind of distance between me and my trainees, but that's possible.
