BIPOC Breathing

Breathwork for BIPOC w/ Abdul-Rehman & Mandel

Most healing spaces are designed and occupied by white people. More than ever, we BIPOC need to co-create healing spaces to connect to and heal our bodies by harnessing the power of our breath.

Join our Online Group to:

* Co-create a safe space for BIPOC to share, process, and heal

* Develop and increase self-awareness.

* Release negative thoughts and feelings.

* Learn a form of active meditation.

Abdul-Rehman Mohammed Issa (he/him) is certified in Breathwork (David Elliott lineage), EFT and Usui Reiki. He uses those approaches, along with a deep knowledge base of restorative circles and councils, to provide a safe space for people to grow, learn, and change through the power of their own breath. He is a career educator, actively working as a school administrator of a middle and high school as well as university faculty. Being confronted with the inequities our marginalized communities face, he has dedicated himself to the path of holistic healing. He has learned a multitude of modalities to bring restorative and trauma-informed practices to those in need.

Mandel Lum (he/him) is a 2.5 generation Chinese-American digital video artist, creative coder, and breathwork healer. Breathwork became an essential part of his life when the Ghost Ship Warehouse Fire in Oakland, California dredged up years of unacknowledged trauma all at once. Within one meditation, he learned to redefine his relationship with his fire demons, and set him on a path to healing others through working on himself. His focus is on the healing of the shadow through the concept of the Inner Shrine.

Thank You for this offering. Most of us humans are shallow breathers to begin with. Add stress and some of us even hold our breath - without realizing it. We need a nice even flow of incoming oxygen to keep our cells functioning optimally.
