Becoming an Emotional Assistant, for EP Support Groups & TIC-typeTrainings

Online ZOOM training

You may have attended classes with assistants that held genuine compassionate space for you, assisted you in returning to calm from overwhelm, and been a steady, reassuring presence in the classroom, whether in-person or online.

Those kinds of people don’t happen by accident!

Although some Emotional Assistants may have developed organically, using their natural gifts of compassion, intuition and presence and sociability, it’s more likely they were a practiced hand at Tapping who was gently called, then guided to be of assistance to a trainer.

It’s been a long time since I held these classes (I began offering them long ago, in tandem with fellow MTOT Jade Barbee), but with the popularity of online training, it’s time to bring them back!

Most everyone can learn to be a stellar Emotional Assistant, and greatly aid Tapping and Energy facilitators in spreading the word of healing and help across the world.  (Honestly, just about any kind of group could benefit, given how easily people can be triggered by cues and references that touch upon unresolved hurts, memories and events.)  However, this class is targeted to Tapping and Energy work, focusing upon learning useful, specific and efficient ways to support group facilitators.

And what does it do for you?  Learning efficient skills to emotionally assist these groups will:

  • provide access to a host of facilitator courses as refreshers or to enjoy other styles of training confidence, with the personal satisfaction of providing emotional first-aid and down-regulation
  • more experience in handling small group interactions and better facilitation
  • experience you can apply towards your own annual CPD or in-service activity for training
  • provide possible sources of like-minded colleagues, potential clients, and even honorarium income from your assistance to facilitators and teachers

What is the pre-requisite for this training? In this particular case, we’re looking for

  • People who love Tapping and EP/Energy work and truly value life-long learning
  • A Level 2 or 3 Tapping proficiency, most easily demonstrated by your accreditation or certification
  • Willingness to focus upon Emotional First-Aid strategies for rapid intensity reduction intervention, vs classic Tapping
  • Grounded, mature persons who prioritize self-care and routinely pursue support, mentoring and self-development
  • A compassionate, patient attitude towards themselves and others
  • Those who embrace the concept of shoshin, beginners’ mind, which is to say open to always learning anew

What I am hoping to do:

  • Provide a qualified and enthusiastic cadre of Emotional Assistants to support Tapping and healing facilitators worldwide, to help them get these healing tools into the hands of as many people as possible!
  • Support classroom/online course facilitation development, and creating more safety and easier attendee participation
  • Allow Teacher/Trainers to focus more upon content, material, modeling and demo-ing, once a sense of ease and safety from routine group management needs are easily met; the ability to experience a more relaxed group experience, knowing that any instance of attendee overwhelm, flooding or upset will be addressed and met with confidence, kindness and rapid care.
  • More attendee satisfaction from having trust-worthy EAs onboard, whose purpose and access is clear to them
  • An even better experience for in-person and online Tapping / Energy students and mentees, that feels safe, solid, open
  • Assuring the unsure that Tapping IS a safe, useful and astonishingly effective intervention and care strategy that can be handled thoughtfully an well for most any group

What I’m offering:

A 6-hour day, including lunch break, that presents training group facilitation, roles and EA expectations conceptually, visually, aurally,  kinetically and emotionally, of course! : )

* 2.5 hours in the morning are spent with concepts, expectations and Q&A

* 2.5 hours in the afternoon are engaging practice, demo/role-play and Q&A

* certificate of class completion, inclusion on a roster on my site, encouragement for seeking opportunities where you may apply your skills

NOTE: a special discount is availablable for PACEsConnection members!
