Art & Science of Resilience: Yoga & Mindfulness for working with trauma

This workshop is holistic, interactive, applied, and designed for those who want to incorporate mindfulness-based practices such as yoga and meditation into their daily lives in order to increase their own and/or their client’s ability to handle the ordinary and sometimes extraordinary stresses of daily life. We will dive deep into what trauma and resilience look like from scientific, psychological, and cultural perspectives, explore some of the origins and impacts of trauma and learn immediately applicable, positively impactful yoga and mindfulness-based interventions to reduce stress and increase focus, attention and a sense of well-being.

This course will cover:

  • Trauma & Resilience defined and explored

  • Neurobiology of stress, trauma, and resilience

  • Effects of trauma on the body and mind

  • Environmental, Social, Cultural and Psychological elements

  • Recognizing and working with the effects of trauma

  • Resilience-Focused Trauma-Informed practices for mindfulness/movement-based interventions

  • Resilience-building factors and practices

  • Self-Care

This workshop does provide CE credit for RYTs via Yoga Alliance.

**This course is being offered by donation. The regular price of this training is $150.

Please pay what you can and know that those who are able to pay more help make the training accessible for those less able to contribute financially at this time.
