Becoming Trauma-Resiliency Informed: Health Perspectives and Discussion
Dr. Felitti starts the day with his current views of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study findings and recent developments. Subsequent presentations and discussions focus on efforts and approaches to incorporate trauma and resiliency awareness into health and other systems. The Health Resilience Stress Questionnaire (HRSQ) being developed by Wiet, is presented along with research on resilience and the pioneering efforts of Gundersen Healthcare System to become one of, if not the first, healthcare system in the USA to integrate this knowledge throughout its entire health system. Trauma-resiliency developments in St. Louis, Florida, and Hong Kong are also described. The format provides ample time for discussion between presenters and participants regarding these evolving efforts.
