Hilton Tampa Downtown

31st Annual Research & Policy Conference Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Behavorial Health (Tampa, Florida)

Since 1988, this annual conference has been a leader in promoting the development of the research base essential to improved service systems for children and youth with mental health challenges and their families. Known widely as The Tampa Conference, this annual gathering of more than 500 researchers, evaluators, policy-makers, administrators, parents, and advocates is sponsored by the Department of Child & Family Studies at the University of South Florida, in partnership with the Children's Mental Health Network, Morehouse School of Medicine, the National Wraparound Initiative, Casey Family Programs, Florida Institute for Child Welfare, Institute for Translational Research Education in Adolescent Drug Abuse, Transitions Research and Training Center, Child & Family Evidence Based Practice Consortium and the Technical Assistance Network for Children's Behavioral Health.

Mark Your Calendar for the Call for Proposals! During this unique time in history, it is especially important to highlight research and policy associated with addressing behavioral health equity since disparities significantly impact our families, children, youth, and emerging adults from rural communities, diverse communities, LGBTQ communities, and socioeconomically challenged communities.

Proposals submitted for consideration to present at the upcoming conference should focus on research useful to improving service systems, policies, workforce development, and practice for child, adolescent, and young adult behavioral health. In addition to the focus of behavioral health equity and eliminating disparities, ideal proposals will include the following key topic areas: dissemination of high-quality research, informing policy and real-world practice, improving evaluation methodology, evidence base advancement, and engagement of key partners & contacts in dialogue designed to further develop the research base.

Hello Dana

Thanks for posting this conference. It is only 50 miles north of me  on the west coast of Florida, maybe i should say the Gulf coast. Thanks so much... I didn't think i would ever be able to attend something like this. It ought to be awesome.
