YOLO PROGRAM UPDATES: Family Hui, Empower Yolo, and Turning Point

·        FAMILY HUI is starting a group for parents/caregivers in Yolo this September. The group will meet online and is being organized with parents from UCDavis but all are welcome. Please contact mlopez@familyhui.org for more information. These groups (hui) have offer a powerful system of support always but especially at this time. 96% of online participants said they will would recommend the program to a friend. If you know of a parent in need, please reach out. www.familyhui.org

·        EMPOWER YOLO
o   October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). If you would like more information/training about domestic violence please contact Celina Alveraz atinfo@empoweryolo.org.

o   Please email Celina Alveraz at info@empoweryolo.org if you would like some of Empower Yolo’s new "Safety Planning" resource cards in English and Spanish to put in your lobby!

o   Finally, Empower Yolo also has diapers for families who need them. Their office is 175 Walnut Street in Woodland.

·        TURNING POINT provides a support group for caregivers. Anyone interested can contact Tenaya Woods at 530-351-7975 extension 3971 or email: tenayawoods@tpcp.org
