Monday, 4/4 1:15 pm at the Akasha Yoga studio in Davis on F Street

Yoga is one of many avenues beginning to gain widespread traction for helping victims of trauma and helping people cope with chronic stress. The article attached is a good example of using yoga to help the homeless.
In Yolo county, free yoga classes are being offered by Yoga Moves Us starting this this Saturday, April 2, at 9 am in Community Park in Davis between the Stephens Branch Library and softball field near North Davis Elementary school. No experience is necessary and some yoga mates will be available.
After the class information will be available on ACEs, trauma and resilience,

On Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1:15 p.m. at the Akasha Yoga studio on 140 F St by the A.T. &T. store in Davis, the Yolo Resilience Network will provide more information on ACEs and facilitate an open discussion of what is currently happening in the yoga community with respect to trauma awareness and how yoga therapy can help.
